New AHRMM On-Demand Recording Now Available
Did you miss the recent live webinar, Changing the Game: A New Model that Transforms the Way Implants are Marketed, Distributed and Serviced in Healthcare?  For your learning convenience, the on-demand recording is now available.   On-demand access allows you to listen at your own pace and still receive CPE credit as well as the quick reference guide.  

Overview: Health systems are continually challenged to drastically reduce Physician Preference Item (PPI) supply expenses, and the traditional methods to achieve this are no longer sustainable.  Innovative approaches to achieving PPI expense reduction is needed to truly drive operating costs down.  This presentation provides an overview of an implemented approach to PPI, and the results achieved.

HIMSS15 Annual Conference & Exhibition - April 12-16

Join AHRMM at HIMSS15!  The HIMSS15 Supply Chain Management SIG Meeting, will have their annual special interest group (SIG) meeting, April 14, 2015, 11:30 AM-12:30 PM, Room CC21 B. This year's focus of discussion will be: UDIs and Health IT- At the Intersection of Costs, Quality & Outcomes.  AHRMM’s director of supply chain, Mike Schiller, will lead a discussion on the role UDI, supply chain and Information Management System professionals can play in supporting better data quality and capture for improved efficiencies, quality and reimbursement. Suggested Panel Session: Experts from FDA, GHX, Mercy and The Pew Charitable Trusts discuss strategies for realizing the benefits of UDI adoption in the panel session entitled, UDI and Health IT: Key to Unlocking Medical Quality and Cost.   The UDI session will take place on Wednesday, April 15, from 2:30 p.m.-3:30 p.m. CT in room S401. 
The session will help attendees understand how to best utilize UDIs by identifying the system and process changes necessary, and evaluating the clinical and financial benefits of better medical device tracking.  Click here for more information about the panel.

Leadership Award Nominations - April 15
The George R. Gossett Leadership Award is the highest honor bestowed by the Association, and is given to an individual who has demonstrated an extraordinary level of leadership and professionalism in the field, made significant contributions to AHRMM, or advanced the healthcare supply chain.
AHRMM is now accepting nominations from AHRMM members for the Leadership Award until April 15.  All nominations are reviewed and the recipient is chosen by the AHRMM Board of Directors.  Visit the Leadership Award Nominations section on the website for more information, general criteria, and to download the Nomination Form.

Leading Practices on Reducing HACs - Submissions Due April 30
Opportunity to share your knowledge to guide other supply chain professionals!  
AHRMM is continuing to build the CQO Leading Practice Repository with the newest call for submissions.  This latest call for leading practices will be for initiatives that directly or indirectly reduce hospital-acquired conditions (HAC) across any category. 
Submissions are due April 30, 2015.
