The AHA Certification Center and AHRMM will offer a special administration of the Certified Materials & Resource Professional (CMRP) certification examination on Sunday, July 23, 2017, at AHRMM17 Conference. Eligible candidates may want to take advantage of this opportunity to earn the nationally recognized CMRP credential. Registration is limited to 30 candidates per session and will be first-come, first-served. Registration deadline is June 26, 2017.
 
It's Tomorrow: A Webinar Co-Presented by AHRMM and HIMSS
Franciscan Missionaries of Our Lady Health System (FMOLHS) will explain the journey they have taken over the last year to design, build, and deploy Clinical ConneXion to send data directly from GHX to Epic, allowing them to provide a more robust item file to Epic, with the goal of fully eliminating one-time (miscellaneous) supplies and to truly get the leeches out of their item master. One Continuing Professional Education (CPE) credit will be awarded by AHRMM.

FDA Unveils List of Reusable Devices Requiring New Validation Data
Following superbug outbreaks after issues with reprocessing certain medical devices, the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) released a list of devices that the agency will require validated instructions for use and validation data regarding cleaning, disinfection and sterilization in premarket notification submissions. CDC Issues Report on Preventing Healthcare-Associated Legionnaires' Disease
