NEST Planning Board Outlines Priorities for New Coordinating Center
In a report released in September, the National Evaluation System for health Technology planning board outlines key priorities for the new Coordinating Center as it works to implement a national system for medical device evaluation. The 25-member board, convened by the Duke-Margolis Center for Health Policy, is a broad-based group that includes patients, clinicians, the medical device industry, payers and regulatory experts, as well as five representatives from federal agencies.

AHA Guide to Expand Behavioral Health Capabilities of the Worksforce
A new guide from the AHA Workforce Center offers strategies to help hospitals and health systems expand the behavioral health capabilities of their workforce. Building on an AHA white paper in June, the new guide offers tools and suggestions for overcoming common challenges organizations face in assessing, educating and partnering with others to strengthen their behavioral health workforce.
